About Teri James: Authentic Western Photography & Modern Farmhouse Art
I am a Western photographer based in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where my work is shaped by the rugged beauty of ranch land, open country, and everyday rural life. What began as a personal pursuit has grown into a professional body of work focused on honest scenes and working landscapes—photographed as they are, without staging, AI-generation, or stock imagery.
Specializing in the American West
My photography is dedicated to the iconic subjects of the American frontier. I specialize in capturing:
Texas Longhorn Cattle:
Featuring the sprawling horns and classic silhouettes of the Texas prairie.
American Bison & Buffalo Art:
Capturing the prehistoric power and rugged texture of these iconic American legends.
Western Horse Photography:
Focused on the spirit and movement of working ranch horses and wild mustangs.
Black Angus & Hereford Cows:
Capturing the power and texture of working ranch herds.
Rustic Landscapes:
Focused on the historic barns, windmills, and windmills of Oklahoma, Montana, and the West.
Expert Recognition & Quality
My work has been recognized for its contribution to the "Modern Western" aesthetic. I was recently featured as a design expert in the Rent. article, "How to Find Your Decorating Style: A Journey to Personalizing Your Space," where I discussed creating artwork that fits Modern Farmhouse and Cowboy Chic interiors, blending the rugged textures of the ranch with upscale, contemporary design.
With hundreds of five-star reviews, my focus is on quality, accuracy, and a smooth experience. Every piece is produced in the USA using archival materials and giclée printing, ensuring your art is a lasting investment for your home.

Have Camera, Will Travel
In 2022 I purchased this little RoadTrek van in Montana and drove her home to Oklahoma. It's my getaway vehicle and I hope to put lots of miles on her in the coming years.
My Travel Partner
Meet my giant, goofy boxer, Tagg. He is a 95 pound lap dog and keeps me on my toes. He is now 7 years old, but hasn't grown out of the "insane puppy" stage yet. He absolutely LOVES little kids - the smaller, the better. My travels in my tiny RoadTrek van would probably be easier without him, but...who can resist that face?
